PROEXCAR SAS (Processor of Meat Extracts), was born in 2009 from the need of the food industry
to obtain raw materials that improve the yields of final products, with a focus on the
potentialization of the brine market for the meat industry (poultry , pork and beef), achieving a
high market share in the national market.
The research and development department works to strengthen the use of proteins of animal
origin, adding value to what PROEXCAR SAS stands for, which is the production of meat extracts,
being pioneers in Colombia in this use and generation of value of by-products and co-products of
the meat industry.
In 2015 the products were commercialized in international markets and by 2016 the
implementation of Safety Management systems began, which includes HACCP and FSSC 22000 to
compete with the requirements of world standards.
